Costa Rica Transportation: Interbus Shared Shuttle Service

Costa Rica Guide Service

Interbus is a good choice for your first trip to Costa Rica. It’s easy and stress free. I recommend Interbus. Myself, my Guide Service clients and my guests at Hidden Jungle Beach House have used them many times. They are prompt, professional and great to work with. The cost for one person is $54.00 (children under 12 years old – half price). FREE WIFI ON BOARD!

The shuttles leave twice daily – 7:00 a.m. and 2:15 p.m.. If your flight arrives by 1:00 p.m. you can take the 2:15 p.m. shuttle. If your flight arrives LATER THAN 1:00 p.m. you’ll need to stay over night in San Jose and take the early shuttle the next morning.

In that case, stay at my favorite hotel, Adventure Inn. They are currently #2 on TripAdvisor, out of 78 hotels in the area. They’re located only 10 minutes from the airport and about 15 minutes from downtown San Jose, right in front of the new National Convention Center. Included is a nice breakfast at their lovely restaurant and free airport shuttle service. Adventure Inn is a great way to begin your visit to Costa Rica. The decor is tropical with beach and jungle murals painted everywhere. The staff are friendly locals who all speak English. And the service is excellent. For a special discount click here: Adventure Inn Discount or just enter the code HIDDENJUNGLE manually when making a booking.

To make a reservation for the shuttle please contact Dawin Fuentes at the Puerto Viejo Interbus office: or on WhatsApp (506) 6088-1948.

The shuttle van will take you on a nice comfortable, air conditioned ride with a few more people, headed out to Puerto Viejo. You’ll stop to eat half way. Any time you need to stop for the bathroom or to take a picture, the bus driver will gladly accommodate you. These drivers are really nice, especially if you try to speak some Spanish. And when you arrive in Puerto Viejo they will take you right to our door at  Hidden Jungle Beach House.
