Face Painting for Halloween

Face Painting at Tex Mex
Last Halloween I set up a table in the middle of Puerto Viejo and painted faces for free. I started at around 6 p.m. and within minutes was overwhelmed with kids. I did not get a break until 11:30! Costa Rica culture does not include celebrating Halloween but they know about it from all the Gringos around. Kids of all ages love getting their faces painted.

Then my son Christian, who was visiting, came by. He is also an artist. He had his party plans for the night but agreed to help with a few. He got stuck there painting for two hours. These next few are his creations:

What a fun way to spend Halloween! I hope to do it again this year.
